Wendy Darling Smith, M.S.W .

The CEO!

Wendy is Springfield College graduate, who finished her bachelor’s degree in human services. She received a master’s degree in social work from Walden University.

Coach Wyn's diverse roles that shaped her vision ...

  • Behavioral Health Therapist
  • Behavioral Health Crisis Clinician
  • Foster and Adoptive Supervisor
  • Youth-at-Risk Community Advisor
  • Youth Choir Directress
  • Youth Church President
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Parent Advocate
  • …And More

Wendy is a single mother of 2 beautiful girls and is very passionate about building aspiring leaders in the future. She believes the support of the community plays a vital role in their future. For her, every girl is enough. She has a love for all people, focusing on their innate abilities that make them shine. Wendy believes that everyone in this world has something to give, share, and learn through this journey called life.

She was born and raised in Connecticut by a single parent named Daisy Pearl. Wendy’s late mother instilled in her the importance of God and education. Daisy Pearl, a mom of four children, was also an educator for more than 25 years and an influential advocate in her community. She made a difference while being a foster parent, community volunteer, and committed church member.

When Wendy was young, she was vulnerable, very shy, and wasn't perfect, but today and growing up, she knew how important it is to stay connected to God. She often thought she was not enough and this affected her in areas of her life.

The people who influenced Wendy’s life include her mother, grandmother, godfather, and others. They exemplified “being enough.” Today, Wendy is driven to share valuable life development lessons with young girls. She strives to do this by connecting with them and providing them with information that will encourage them to be the best versions of themselves.

Wendy has arrived at what she wants Daisy's Pearls, LLC to achieve due to her life experiences and God’s call to move forward and make a difference. She desires girls to embrace who they are as they flourish, and prosper within this challenging society.

Stephanie Tompkins, LCSW

DP Board Member

Stephanie was born and raised as an orphan in New Haven, Connecticut. She has more than 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in urban communities such as New Haven. This is her educational background:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Management, Albertus Magnus in Connecticut
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Southern Connecticut State University
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work at Fordham University in New York

It was in her master’s degree that she recognized her passion for helping families and advocating for underserved youth. For 3 years, she worked as a school social worker. She spent 8 more years as a clinical social worker at a behavior health clinic in New Haven.

During this time, she opened a therapeutic mentorship program to help keep teens focused on educational and career goals. Her program also aimed to empower the male youth into “breaking the cycle” and make better choices. Advocating for others, she began tutoring services to promote literacy in the urban communities.

Stephanie was a board of director of New Haven Reads which was sponsored by Yale University. She also volunteered to host local mental health workshops and health fairs. Her passion for advocating for youth eventually led her to complete a law degree from Massachusetts School of Law with a focus on family law.

Currently, Stephanie resides and works in Warner Robins Georgia where she is a licensed clinical social worker serving youth and adults.
